FRIDAY, JULY 5 AT 9:00 PM
BRET MICHAELS: American singer/songwriter, Bret Michaels, has sold over 50 million records worldwide, is a reality TV superstar with some of the highest rated reality shows in history as well as a lifelong type 1 diabetic. An entrepreneur, Michaels has created the multi-million dollar selling Pets Rock Collection with PetSmart, launched his own line of custom guitars and created “Bret’s Blend, Diet Trop-A-Rocka” which is a number one selling beverage for Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group. Michaels, personally and through his Life Rocks Foundation has helped raise millions of dollars for charity and makes donations to not only diabetes awareness and research but to such causes as childhood cancer, Veterans organizations, PetSmart Charities, Operation Homefront, Fealgood Foundation and more. His talent, business acumen and natural candor have solidified him as "a cultural touchdown" in the words of former Viacom CEO Judy McGrath and made him one of the most sought-after performers, keeping him on the road for each of the last 10 years, for nearly 300 live performances, speaking engagements, charitable concerts and private engagements yearly. Michaels’ latest single and video, “Unbroken”—which he cowrote and recorded with his youngest daughter, Jorja Bleu— will be out on March 15, which also happens to be the music icon’s birthday. In the run-up to the release of the new single, Michaels has unleashed the #HotRocks Unbroken Challenge— a social media competition in which he is giving participants the chance to dance for a $10,000 donation to a charity of their choice and a VIP rockstar weekend getaway for the winner. OPENING FOR BRET MICHAELS AT 7:30 PM ON FRIDAY JULY 5
BUCKCHERRY: The Los Angeles-based hard rock act Buckcherry formed in mid-1995, after singer Joshua Todd and guitarist Keith Nelson were introduced through their tattoo artist. After cutting several demos, the duo recruited bassist Jonathan “J.B.” Brightman and drummer Devon Glenn and began performing live, quickly earning a local following for their swaggering, grunge-flavored music. Following the subsequent addition of second guitarist Yogi Lonich, Buckcherry signed with DreamWorks Records and issued their self-titled debut LP in 1999. Singles such as “Check Your Head” and “For the Movies” were modern rock hits, allowing Buckcherry to raise their profile by the summer of 2000.
SATURDAY, JULY 6 AT 9:00 PM
CJ SOLAR: With the fuel of both Southern rock and country music influences pumping through his veins, it’s no surprise that Sea Gayle Music’s CJ Solar is a natural at fusing the two worlds. Combine that with Delta blues, compliments of a childhood spent in Cajun country, and you’ve got one badass up-and-comer, with the pure musical talent and vocal chops to back him up. Already turning heads throughout Nashville, Baton Rouge and beyond, having been named one of the“New Artists You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone Country, Solar says the driving force behind his untimely success isn’t fame nor fortune – it’s just a diehard infatuation with the music he grew up on.
ADAM CALVERT: Adam Calvert grew up in a small town in southeastern Ohio. Calvert graduated from the prestigious school for the creative and performing arts (SCPA) in Cincinnati, Ohio. This resulted in him being featured on the hit MTV show "Taking the Stage" (Season 2), which was nominated for a Teen Choice award. Calvert was inducted into the Wheeling Jamboree in 2015 and in 2017 went on a National tour with, "Live from Nashville Country Legends". Calvert is an avid singer-songwriter that plays several instruments including the guitar, piano and the violin. You can expect to hear high energy new country, your favorite classic rock and roll and country hits, as well as Adam's original material.
SHANA SMITH: Shana Smith is a country music artist and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. In her young career, she has penned hundreds of songs and performed country classics in legendary venues such as the Blue Bird Cafe & Douglas Corner as well as live performances on a variety of TV shows. Shana has been featured in numerous videos and commercials and continues to cross genres with her broad demographic appeal and down to earth personality. In 2012, she released her first independent album, "The Heart of Happiness" writing all the tunes with legendary songwriter Chris Gantry.
KRIS ARMSTRONG: Salt of the earth surfer boy Kris Armstrong has the ability to either bring you to tears or turn your day around with his gifted voice and passion for music. A self-taught pianist and guitarist, Kris’s perfect pitch has led him to love the arts. He began singing in the car with his dad at a very young age and has a vocal range from classical opera to country. Not only can Kris rock a stage, he’s been an impactful athlete on every team he’s been a part of. Juggling division one baseball and a music career is a dream for him.
Additional entertainers will be performing throughout Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6. Check peckfest.com for the latest information.
