Stone Hall Sessions is pleased and proud to present Patrick Johnson with Billy MacInnis - LIVE in Concert as the sixth concert in our 2024 Season. Join us for an afternoon of original songs, fiddle tunes, folk, country and likely some blues - all highlighted by lots of strings working overtime.
Patrick Johnson used the first paycheque from his first real job to buy a guitar. He became so guitar committed that he'd be up every day at 4AM so that he could put in a couple of hours of practice before heading off to work.
That is dedication you can’t fake.
From that paycheque guitar, Pat has become one of the most well-known guitarists in Eastern Ontario, built up a big following and become a highly sought-after guitar instructor. In 2005, he put pen to paper and authored an acclaimed book on playing fingerstyle guitar.
Pat has released four solo albums - Songs From The Town Boredom Built (2003), Pitchin’ Day (2006), Stumps (2018) and Come On In My Kitchen (2021).
Billy MacInnis is a third generation fiddler and has been wowing audiences since the age of seven. He recorded his first album at the age of thirteen and went on to record eight more. Strings Attached - his latest release - was recorded at Patrick Johnson's Patunes Studio in 2019.
Billy has shared the stage with Lennie Gallant, Rita MacNeil, John Allan Cameron, Prairie Oyster and Leon Gallant from Stanely Bridge. He's famously known as Stompin’ Tom’s fiddle player and spent 9 years touring with Canada’s Icon until his sudden passing in March 2013. That's Billy playing fiddle on Stompin' Tom's CD The Ballad and on his Live in Concert DVD.
