In this four-week, interactive parenting course, you'll learn how to establish a rewarding relationship with your children built on love and trust.
Classes will be held on Thursdays, October 3-24 in the classroom–6:00-7:30pm
Topics include:• Avoiding un-winnable power-struggles and arguments• Staying calm when kids do upsetting things• Setting enforceable limits• Avoiding enablement and beginning empowerment• Helping kids learn from mistakes rather than repeating them• Raising kids who are family members rather than dictators• Much more
The material covered in this house is appropriate for parents, grandparents, and other care providers of children ages birth to 18 years. The class fee covers the cost of the workbook for this course, and the workbook is only available at the first session. These sessions build on one another and include covering 'homework' and sharing experiences and lessons learned from previous weeks. For best results, attending all four sessions is recommended.
About The InstructorStephanie Hintz is the Human Development and Relationships Educator for Extension Dunn County. She received her Bachelors of Science in Applied Social Science at UW-Stout and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. She lives on a small hobby farm with a big garden and several chickens in Chippewa Falls.

All classes are held in Menomonie Market’s upstairs classroom. Stairs and an elevator can be found at the back of the store by the meat department. Any food purchased at Menomonie Market can also be brought to the classroom to enjoy during this class.
