Intensive workshops focused on a specialized cooking technique, specific product or unique dish.
Petite in size, presented in a vast array of pretty colours and endless variety of delicious filling flavours, macaron have quickly risen to the pinnacle of popularity in bakeries across Canada! This macaron master class teaches you all the techniques required to create these elegant Parisian-style meringue-based confections at home. During this hands-on class you will learn the science and method behind a good meringue, how to fold the ingredients together to keep the final cookie light and soft, safe and fun colouring methods, proper baking times and techniques that will ensure the macaron is crisp on the outside but remains soft on the inside, as well as how to mix a sweet buttercream base filling.Each participant will get to take home a selection of macaron created in class to enjoy. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make this elegant dessert at home but felt too intimidated to try it on your own, then this is the class for you!

This class has a maximum capacity of 10 students.
Safety regulations require students wear closed toe shoes when participating in any cooking class.
Classes are for students 16 years and older.
Participants will be provided with an apron and all necessary tools and equipment.
Menus, recipes and instructors are subject to change as required.
If you need to cancel a class, it is possible to get a refund (less the service fee) up to 7 days before the date of the event via your universe.com account. A credit note may be issued for cancellations received by email (admin@stratfordchef.com) a minimum of 48 hours before the event.
Please note that there are no credit notes or refunds for missed classes or classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the event.
