November 25, 2018 | 3:00 | FREE but RSVP | United Palace, 4140 Broadway, NYC or tune in on Livestream
Come and explore Christianity in the Modern World with Rev. Dr. Dale T. Irvin, President and Professor of World Christianity at New York Theological Seminary.
Founded nearly 2,000 years ago on the teachings of an itinerant Jewish Rabbi, Christianity is the world's largest religion. Together we will examine who Jesus Christ was, how his teachings related to the Jewish faith of his time, and how Christianity fits into today’s society.
Some questions we will delve into are:
What is the Bible?
What is the resurrection?
What are different ways of believing in the resurrection?
What is the Trinity?
How can Christians believe in ONE God and yet speak of the Trinity?
What is the focus of Christian ministry today?
What are the different branches of Christianity?
What is the relationship of Christianity to other spiritual and religious traditions?
Join us for an intimate exploration of the world’s largest religion, and the teachings that accompanied the Christian faith over the past thousands of years.
