Back by popular request, the Holistic Day this year will be a Nourish and Nurture Day with Yoga Expert Isabelle Leroy, Naturopathic Nutritionist Hannah Wyborn and Holistic Therapist and Reiki Teacher Becci Godfrey.
Join us at the beautiful Eridge Village Hall on Sun 13th May, for a day of yoga, healthy eating and hands on healing.
These days are designed to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated and are a great way to try something new, making new friends and prioritising your well being.
This event includes practical sessions of yoga, food making and healing.
In the yoga session, the focus will be on tension release, through Somataic Yoga. Somatics is a gentle, sensible, and safe approach to recover from chronic pain and promote ease of movement that works for all kinds of stress, injury, and movement problems. It uses neuromuscular (mind-body training) movement re-education that goes directly to the root cause of most chronic muscular pain: the brain and the way in which it senses and organises the muscles and movement.
In the nutrition session, Hannah will be sharing some healthy sugar free snacks that taste great AND are good for you! You'll get the chance to make some protein balls (at a fraction of the cost of what you can buy in the shops), as well as hearing about some quick and easy ways to support your health with nutrition. After which, you will enjoy a healthy and nutritious lunch and maybe try some new foods.
In the hands on healing session, you will get the chance to give and receive hands on healing. A fun, easy and enjoyable way to bring more balance and harmony in your life, hands on healing promotes health, relaxation and a feeling of unconditional love. You don't have to have any special gifts to give others the powerful benefits of touch. Take it turns to give and receive healing in a safe and supportive environment and discover the benefits for yourself.
The event leaders
About Isabelle: Isabelle has been practicing Yoga for nearly twenty years and is a certified British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) teacher. Isabelle completed a 2-year yoga course with the Yoga Academy (BWY accredited) in April 2017. Over the years, she has explored many different styles of yoga, many of which have inspired her work as a yoga teacher. She teaches regular weekly Hatha Yoga classes in and around Tunbridge Wells with a focus on breath, alignment and mindfulness and is currently training in Somatics to help people release stress and tension held in the body.
About Hannah: Having suffered from bouts of depression and anxiety in her twenties, Hannah turned her own health around in her 30's using diet and natural therapies. Now an accredited nutritional therapist, alongside her private practice, Hannah currently spends most of her time working as a healthy cook for stressed out parents and has seen first hand the positive effect the right diet and lifestyle changes can have. Hannah also worked at an addiction centre, where depression and anxiety were commonplace and saw how important nutrition was to overcome their issues.
About Becci: Becci has had a lifelong passion for nature, health and spirituality. Founder of two health companies, Mind Detox Tunbridge Wells and Reiki Mark Cross, Becci overcame ME in her 20's and continues to explore the boundaries of performance and optimal function through meditation, Mind Detox, time in nature and Reiki. Well aware of the link between stress and ill-health, Becci is passionate about people experiencing their potential. An experience Holistic Day leader, Becci is trained to hold a safe and supportive space for people to find their true nature and flourish.
