Multiverse Concert Series presents “Shadows of Exoplanets”, a concert of music and science celebrating NASA-Smithsonian's Spectrum Lab website, in collaboration with Biophysicist Roy Gould.
Interweaving lecture with music, Dr. Gould will present the latest research on exoplanets, and the incredible detective work used to reveal their presence as shadows cast upon distant stars. Celebrating the upcoming launch of NASA-Smithsonian's Spectrum Lab website, Dr. Gould will share his work on developing this public tool for uncovering exoplanets' atmospheres, temperatures, and ultimately - their potential for supporting life.
Forming a dialogue with the research are musical performances of classical and live-electronic music featuring the Marvento Duo and sonifications of exoplanet light spectra by Multiverse resident composer, David Ibbett.
