A lot of has happened since our last update November 23rd.
This Updates and Demo event is for people interested in learning more about real-world use-cases for blockchain technology. While our discussions will be grounded in the capabilities of blockchain technology, our focus is on practical applications rather than technical details. We will focus on a subset of use-cases for blockchain platforms like Ethereum and come away with a more thorough understanding of how blockchain technology might be used in the near-future.Agenda:

About the Demos:
Aion is a multi-tier blockchain system designed to address unsolved questions of scalability, privacy and interoperability in blockchain networks. Aion CEO and Founder, Matthew Spoke, will be speaking about the latest developments in Aion's technology. Prior to launching Aion, Matthew founded Deloitte's blockchain team, Rubix.
CoinSquare is Canada's leading crytocurrency platform for simple and secure trading of bitcoin, ethereum, gold and more. CoinSquare raised 30MM in February, are targeting a 150MM IPO and looking to hire a team of 200 employees before the end of Q2 2018.
The Blockchain Research Institute is conducting the
definitive investigation into blockchain use cases, opportunities and
implementation challenges. The multi-million program includes 70
projects across 10 industry
verticals including hospitality and entertainment. We’re also
conducting projects on how blockchain changes the way we manage our
institutions and organize capability in the economy. Jenna Pilgrim, Director of Business Development, will update us on the latest research.
L4 Ventures grew out of a collaboration between Ledger Labs, the leading Canadian blockchain consulting firm, and Blockgeeks Lab, the Toronto-based blockchain incubator and venture partner. Our team includes ethereum founders, leading blockchain technologists, and seasoned entrepreneurs. Ethan Wilding will provide the L4 update.

McLaren will be represented by their Chief Blockchain Architect, Karsten Arend. McLaren's new subsidiary is focussed on brinigng blockchain technology to the mining (mineral exploration, development and production) industry. The platform will allow for the creation of value through the exchange of industry information.
