Featuring a panel of speakers who are actively involved in the licensing process, this event is designed to be an inclusive discussion about the MA delivery licensing process, including hurdles and costs, so that attendees can make informed decisions about their own business ambitions and, importantly, submit informed testimony and public comments to the CCC to help shape the industry. It is also a platform to highlight some local businesses and their leaders who are doing the hard work to get this industry off the ground and create new jobs in our communities.

SPEAKER BIOS
Christopher Fevry is currently the Co-Founder of Your Green Package (YGP) and President of the MA Cannabis Delivery Association. Currently based in Quincy, MA Chris is passionate about the Social Equity Program and helping other delivery companies get started. Previously Chris worked as an Enterprise Sales Executive at a tech startup called mabl where he focused on selling solutions to Fortune 500 companies. Overall, Chris is well versed in sales, marketing, and relationship building.
Janelle Goines has always had a love for business and numbers and has been working in Finance and Accounting since she was 16. Janelle graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University where she attended on a full academic scholarship and obtained a degree in both Accounting and Finance and a minor in African-American Studies. Being that Janelle always had a love for entrepreneurship she used her 20 years of experience gained in both public and corporate accounting from top companies like Gillette, Ernst & Young, and Johnson & Johnson to pursue the start of her own business and to eventually co-found the largest vision therapy practice in CT. The legalization of Cannabis in Massachusetts sparked the entrepreneurial passion of her and her husband and they decided to enter, in an effort to become a home delivery provider in the state. Janelle is the co-founder and COO of The Emerald Turtle, a majority minority-owned fully integrated Cannabis venture in Wareham, MA.
Aaron Goines graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelors Degrees in both Finance and Management Information Systems and a minor in African American Studies. Upon graduation Aaron became an Equity Research Analyst for 3 years. After Equity Research, he entered into Equity and Volatility Derivatives Strategy and Trading for an additional 8 years. In 2013, Aaron decided to leave Wall Street and Co-Founded the largest Pediatric Vision Therapy practice in CT. Aaron has always had an eye on marijuana in Massachusetts and briefly considered entering the Medical Marijuana Industry, however the timing wasn’t right. Once Massachusetts voted to start Recreational marijuana, Aaron and his wife decided the timing was now right. Aaron is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Emerald Turtle, which will be a majority minority-owned, fully integrated Cannabis Venture in Wareham, MA.
Nike John is a Boston native. She graduated from Northeastern with a degree in finance and minored in psychology. Nike has been practicing real estate since 2012. She has always had a passion for entrepreneurship and started her own brokerage, Vibe Residential, in 2015. Nike got started in the cannabis space soon after learning about the MA cannabis industry's demographics. She felt this was an opportunity to create change for the MA and Boston communities she hopes to serve and many individuals affected by the War on Drugs. She is a member of the CCC’s Social Equity Program and graduated with the first cohort this spring. Ultimately, she hopes that she can help prove that women and people of color can run successful cannabis businesses. Her business name is The Heritage Club and their motto is “Where we're from is where we give back.”
Casey Leaver is the Compliance Manager at Vicente Sederberg LLP. In this role, she assists clients with understanding rules and regulations and provides guidance for establishing and operating a compliant marijuana business. She also regularly conducts on-site facility audits to ensure compliance with state regulations and prepare clients for pre- and post-licensure inspections. Acting as a liaison between clients and the Cannabis Control Commission, Casey is focused on the prevention of disciplinary action and maintaining a compliant marijuana establishment. She also assists licensees in navigating and preparing appropriate responses to notices of violations, deficiencies and enforcement action.
Morriss Partee grew up in Amherst, MA, and now resides in Holyoke. Coming from a design and marketing background, in 1999, Morriss launched EverythingCU.com, a web site connecting thousands of credit union professionals nationwide. Innovations that Morriss pioneered at EverythingCU.com: educational webinars, online switch kits, and the hosting of two national branding events. Morriss is now leading Emerald River in the development and launch of cannabis retail stores in Massachusetts and Maine. Morriss was the first person in the Commonwealth to submit an application for Delivery Pre-Certification; uploading the required documents within two hours of the online portal being opened on the evening of May 28, 2020.
