A Week-Long Doula Homeschool Digital Training Program WITH LATHAM THOMAS + GUEST TEACHERS In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have come up with a way to ensure that your doula training continues: Mama Glow Doula Homeschool: Level 2 brings the training right into the comfort of your home while you quarantine. Let's home birth some Level 2 doulas! Please read the entire course description so you are clear on the timing and The week-long program will take place April 13-19th and will be offered at $325 (less than half the rate of our in-person Mama Glow Doula Immersion program). This includes class on weekday evenings from 4:00-6:30pm ET and 12:00-3:00pm on the weekend. Please scroll down to see the full training schedule. The virtual program will include hours of LIVE video chat training via Zoom with Latham Thomas and modules with guest teachers, digital assignments to complete at home. Plus opportunities for Q&A with Latham, and ample time to connect digitally for face-to-face chat online with your doula sisters. This is open to all Mama Glow Doula trainees who have completed Level 1 Immersion and are ready to keep up the momentum! Our work at Mama Glow is to improve the experience of birth for women everywhere. We are changing the face of maternal health by empowering women at the threshold of change in their lives. We see birth as a unique opportunity to support and empower women as well as educate society about the innate strength of the female body and the sacred process of pregnancy and birth. We offer full spectrum support for fertility, birth clients and new mothers, holding their hands as they transition into this new phase of their lives. We seek to dismantle the stigmas and fears around the birth process for women. We also work to democratize birth support and have birth doulas available for every woman who desires one. We are thrilled to be hosting our first LIVE digital Homeschool program. The 6-Day intensive will be jam packed with content. As birth activism is central to the pulse of our mission and training, we will continue to weave the thread of advocacy with our distinguished, world-renown and award-winning guest teachers. Our unique LEVEL 2 format will expand in subject matter and depth upon our foundational LEVEL 1 training, taking a deeper dive into complicated birth and the postnatal experience. The course includes preparation and education for postpartum doula support. It is our belief that every doula who emerges from the immersion program should be equipped to serve women before, during and after pregnancy. To that end, in addition to labor and birth support, all doulas who have completed LEVEL 2 will be equipped to support women through the postpartum period. LEVEL 3 is our apprenticeship level for experienced doulas. LEVEL 2 will prepare doula trainees to begin working in all settings including in traditionally underserved communities. Doulas who have completed level two are prepared to support mothers in the postnatal period. Many of our doulas have successfully transitioned into full time doula work. Curriculum will be reviewed at the beginning of the training week.
