LOS ANGELES JAZZ SOCIETY PRESENTS:
AN EVENING WITH KIKI EBSEN & FRIENDS
Jeff Colella, piano, AND Chris Colangelo, acoustic bass
with Q&A to follow - hosted by Mark Christian Miller
Kiki Ebsen—Singer/Songwriter whose touring and performing career spans jazz (Al Jarreau) to pop/rock (Boz Scaggs, Christopher Cross), R&B (James Ingram), and more. She incorporates elements of each as a solo artist and main stage performer, having come from international touring years as a keyboard player/backing vocalist. Her recent recording, “Scarecrow Sessions,” a tribute to her father’s entertainment career, featured straight-ahead jazz performances. Her favorite Joni Mitchell songs, on “Cool Songs, Vol. 2” feature her interpretation of Mitchell’s melodies and standout lyrics. Kiki’s performance for the L.A. Jazz Society with Jeff Colella and Chris Colangelo coincides with the debut of her most recent album, “Fill Me Up,” combining adult contemporary, Americana, pop, rock and jazz styles. The powerful combination is sheer delight.
