City Pastimes and Country Pleasures
Through lute, voice and cello, popular music from the time of Shakespeare and onward will be presented. Songs, dances, ballad tunes, variations and fantasias are sure to delight the ear and evoke a time now remembered mainly through The Bard's dramas. This concert features Dr. Sally Singer Tuttle, Cello, John Jamison, Lute, and Soprano Dr. Riikka Pietilainen-Caffrey. The Kirkman House warmly invites you to take the very special pleasure of hearing beautiful and energetic music in the intimate and acoustically delightful setting of our 19th-century formal parlor.
The performance is at 7:30pm on Saturday, April 22 and is $35 per person. Doors open at 6:45pm for socializing and locally sourced hors d’oeuvres andGoose Ridge cider, and wine.
