Jon Stewart is an acclaimed political satirist, writer, and director. As the host of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” he garnered twenty Emmys and two Peabody Awards. His new series, “The Problem with Jon Stewart,” recently premièred on Apple TV+. His film work includes the 2020 film “Irresistible,” which he wrote and directed. Among his best-selling books are “America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction” and “Earth (The Book): A Visitor’s Guide to the Human Race.” Stewart is also a dedicated advocate for 9/11 survivors and veterans.
David Remnick has been the editor of The New Yorker since 1998. He joined the magazine in 1992, after ten years with the Washington Post, where he was a Moscow correspondent. He is the author of several books, including “The Bridge”; “King of the World,” about the life of Muhammad Ali; and “Lenin’s Tomb,” for which he received the Pulitzer Prize for nonfiction. Under Remnick’s leadership, The New Yorker has become the country’s most honored magazine, garnering fifty-three National Magazine Awards. In 2016, it became the first magazine to receive a Pulitzer Prize for its writing, and to date has won six Pulitzers, including the gold medal for public service.
