The 2018 Gervais Street Bridge Dinner will take place on Sunday October 21st from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Sponsor & VIP entry begins at 3 p.m.). Rain Date is October 28th (decision to be made by Friday, October 19 by 5:00 p.m.).
***LAST MINUTE REMINDERS FOR ATTENDEES:
First, thank you for supporting the overarching mission of Gervais Street Bridge Dinner which is to bring more awareness to the river and creating a greater sense of care for the river.
Second, here's what you can loosely expect in terms of day-of timeline:
3:00 p.m. VIP Entry
4:00 p.m. General Admission Entry
5:30 p.m. First Course Service Begins
6:30 p.m. Coffee Service Begins
8:00 p.m. Event Ends
Third, where to park? We suggest parking at Capitol Shopping Center (West Columbia side) and the State Museum/Edventure parking lots. There will be golf carts coming around each parking lot to help transport people to the bridge. Pro Tip: It doesn't hurt to carpool or Uber.
Fourth, let's chat about weather. It's projected to be a high of 63 degrees that day and a low of 42 degrees (give or take because we all know weather). Thus, dress accordingly. Sweaters, scarves, maybe some hand warmers...all encouraged. Keep in mind it is often windy on the bridge too. You may also want to add sunglasses to your list of "what to wear" for when the sun starts to set.
Fifth and final note, seating is a little different this year. Per usual, the sponsor section will be centered on the bridge and reserved with a designated sign. Unlike in prior years, there is also a VIP section this year which is reserved for VIP ticket holders but tables within that section are up for grabs on a first come, first served basis. General Admission is the same (for GA ticket holders and first come, first served).
Can't wait to see all your smiling faces!
