St Gregory's Foundation (UK charity 1002469) and family-run Little Georgia restaurant invite you to join us for a wonderful charity event on 10th January 2022 (date tbc), 7-9pm.
Our guests on the evening are H.E. Sophie Katsarava, the Georgian Ambassador to the UK and Katie Melua, the renowned Georgian-British singer. Katie will appear at our event to support Mkurnali with her stories of Georgia and her amazing musical journey. Expect a unique atmosphere, Georgian canapes and wine tasting, a raffle with hand-made Georgian gifts and the chance to buy a signed book 'Supra: A feast of Georgian Cooking' by Tiko Tuskadze, the author and owner of 'Little Georgia'.
We are aiming to raise funds for the Georgian charity Mkurnali in Tbilisi. Mkurnali offers a legal service to minors, particularly street children, who are particularly vulnerable to injustice. The charity reintroduces homeless young people to regular life through work experience projects which include car maintenance, jewellery production and filling printing cartridges. Mkurnali has been seriously impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic and the proceeds from the event will help them cope with all the economic hardships caused by the lockdown.
You must be over 18 for the wine tasting. Your ticket includes a glass of sparkling wine or soft drink upon arrival, Georgian canapes, two glasses of wine and a raffle entry per ticket, Katie Melua's and Tiko Tuskadze's talks and a donation to Mkurnali.
