Kicking off Wed, April 29th, with happy hour at Still Cellars in Longmont. Screening some of the best shorts from our First Friday Film Nights at the Firehouse. Come enjoy an artisanal hand-crafted cocktail and some wonderful art films.At 6:30, come share a beer and marvel at how it was crafted at Left Hand Brewery in Longmont. Join us for the world premiere of "Colorado Hopped: Bine to Brew" by local documentary filmmaker, Barbara Hau. This film showcases the local farmers who've sprung up to fill the need for locally-sourced hops for the craft beer industry. There will be beer specials and lots of farmers and brewers on-hand for the screening!Thursday, April 30th: Look out Lyons! Film events all over town: Get Spirited at Spirit Hound Distillery with fun shorts from the SF Disposable Film Festival, Get Compact at the Tiny screening house with ethereal shorts by Evan Mann, Get Local with nature films by Dawn George featuring Denver arborist, Ryan Bartlett, "Bees N Trees" at Local restaurant and finish off your fun-filled evening by Getting Carried Away; "Carry The Tune" with local filmmaker Paul Trapkus screens at Oskar Blues Restaurant and Bar.Stay up late and watch the mad-cap adventures of “Bill the Galactic Hero” at Tiny!Firehouse Art Center hosts the Friday Film Screenings, with two amazing films!Find friendship with a couple of modern-day gypsies in "American Bear: An Adventure in the Kindness of Strangers" with filmmakers Sarah Sellman and Greg Grano. Then stay up late and show off your ink; it's "Tattoo Nation" with filmmaker Eric Schwartz featuring tattoo artists from local tattoo parlors. You'll leave inspired and possibly itchin' for some ink!Saturday, May 2 brings a full day of films and fun at the Oskar Blues Brewery. Come get a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most prolific craft brewers in a space that's not been open to the public before!From 3-5pm, there’ll be short films by local filmmakers featuring musicians, art, history and dance. Something for everyone and all ages are welcome.The evening screening starts at 6pm. A collaboration with Bicycle Longmont and Treads and Trails, a program of the Oskar Blues Can'd Aid Foundation—the feature film is the latest work by bike-enthusiast Mike Dion, "Inspired to Ride"! Bike to the event and enjoy New Orleans-inspired food from Bodacious Eats and beers (and coffee!) from Oskar Blues!
