Physical Fitness is key to kids’ development, health and well-being. Almost 70% of Canadian children and youth do not meet the medically recommended minimums for physical activity. Let’s be proactive parents and counter this by empowering our kids with knowledge and enthusiasm about fitness.
Here’s a fun way to learn the basics of fitness using the alphabet! A helpful memory tool for kids and adults alike :-). A for abdominals, B for bicep curls, C for cardio and so on. Coupled with associated word/body exercises, lots of fun movement and energetic kid-friendly music, this will be a terrific hands-on learning opportunity that can be taken home for the whole family to benefit from.
Suitable for parents and kids 3 years old and up.
9:30am - 10:30am: Learn the ABCs of Fitness
10:30 - 10:45am: Energy Break
10:45 - 11:30am: Fit/Alpha art exercise
11:30 - 11:45am: Final group stretch and relaxation
11:45 - 12:00pm: Mingle and high fives!
