Hunky Dory.. It's an undisputed Bowie classic and one of the greatest albums ever made. In 2021 it celebrates its 50th birthday and to mark this very special occasion we are bringing back together three of the people that made this album magic: pianist Rick Wakeman and Producer Ken Scott.
Woody of course went on to be the backbone of the Spiders From Mars, playing on the seminal albums Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane. He currently drums with the brilliant Holy Holy (also faeturing Tony Visconti on bass). Rick played keyboards on Space Oddity and his contribution to Hunky Dory is iconic, especially his piano playing on Life On Mars. Ken was the man in control, pushing and pulling the faders as Bowie and band laid down these amazing songs. Ken also worked in Abbey Road, most notably on The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album and George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. Rock royalty indeed!
