Embark on a vibrant cultural journey at Events DC’s “Once on This Island” activation during the city’s Art All Night festivities on the Carnegie Library East and West Lawns (located directly in front of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center) on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Beginning at 7 p.m., this free family-friendly event will be celebrating the rich heritage of the Caribbean. Immerse yourself in live performances, engaging art activations and authentic cuisines. We also have created a “Who Let the Dawgs Out” dog zone for your furry friends, a Kids Corner with curated activities and arts and crafts for children to enjoy the night. In addition to a foam party, a Walk of Fame and Art Gallery featuring local artists, karaoke and a film festival celebrating Caribbean culture. Join us as we explore the rhythms, flavors and traditions that make these regions truly unique. All food and giveaways are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Complimentary shuttle bus service for attendees between the north entrance of the Carnegie Library/Apple Store on AllenY. Place, NW (formerly Mount Vernon Place, NW) and Right Proper Brewery, 624 T Street, NW will be provided every 30 minutes beginning at 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. courtesy of U Street Parking.‍
