Evening Paper Marbling Workshop
Historic Sugartown is excited to introduce new evening version of our Marbling workshops into our series of Book Bindery workshops. Colonial Williamsburg-trained instructor, Ramon Townsend of ColonialBindery.com, has developed a shortened version of our full day class. These night workshops are designed to allow participants to get a taste of the traditional craft of Paper Marbling in a shortened timeframe (2.5 hours).
Participants will learn the art of floating and designing watercolors on a base fluid then permanently transferring the design to paper. The class is lead through the marbling process and taught design techniques. Participants take home the finished papers along with step-by-step instructions.
Workshop Admission: $45/Person, all supplies included. Ages 8 & Up. (Ages 8 – 17 must be accompanied by an adult). Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 8 participants.
