Singer-songwriter David Newland last appeared at the Old Church in 2019, with The Northwest Passage in Story and Song, inspired by his many Arctic adventures.
Grounded in Northumberland County by the pandemic, David returned to his first inspiration: rural landscapes and small town stories, lovingly expressed in ‘Two-Lane Highway Songs.”
David will be accompanied by “Sideman” Sam Allison, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and Canadian Folk Music Award nominee. Together, they present a folk-roots celebration of the rugged and beautiful places that inspire us all.
