Christian Young Professionals (20's to 40's) Silent Retreat
41160 Retreat Rd, Cochrane, AB T4C 1Z6, Canada
I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me
and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me
when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the
Lord...” Jeremiah 29:11-14 NIV
As young adults pursuing our
individual purpose, we often grapple with questions such as: What am I
meant to do in this life? Who am I? How do I move forward when I feel so lost
and stuck? We’ve all heard the
saying ‘let go and let God’, but how many of us can say we’ve been able to so,
or even know how to, when it comes to uncovering our purpose. Psalm
139:16 NKJV states “Your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed. And in your
book they were all written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were
none of them.” And again, Psalms 37:23-24 NIV states “The Lord makes
firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he
will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand”. But how do we even begin to seek
God’s unique purpose for us? What do we do when we feel so off course?
The theme of this year’s retreat is ‘Letting Go and Walking in Purpose’. Join us in silent fellowship as we unplug from the noiseand the cares of our daily experience to unpack and explore the idea ofrelinquishing control and allowing God to lead us in purpose. “Trust in the Lord with all yourheart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submitto him, and he will make your paths straight” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
