Description
Join us in the West Village at St. Luke in the Fields for Opening Night of our Fifth Season!
We open our season with our first mainstage, SERENADE: A cornucopia of balcony songs, serenades, and apostrophes, threaded through Arnold Schoenberg’s Op.24 Serenade – a jaunty, comical, rude but delightful 30-minute work for 7 instruments and baritone. Little vignettes fill out the drama of the evening, ranging from Mozart arias to Bel Canto numbers, new American lullabies, Debussy piano works, and Weimar cabaret.
Jacob Ashworth, violin; Colin Brookes, viola; Hannah Collins, cello; Gleb Kanasevich, clarinet; Carlos Cordeiro, bass clarinet; Bill Anderson, mandolin; Marco Sartor, guitar
with Joshua Jeremiah, baritone, and Lee Dionne, piano
