Mermaid Retreat
Our world is changing immensely. We must change with it.
This is a retreat to build ourselves up to be resilient, courageous, compassionate human beings to withstand the truth of climate change, hold and nurture and support our community and loved ones, and regenerate ourselves to keep going against the odds. This is a retreat to learn plastic-free living, to learn environmental activism, to learn how to start sustainable and regenerative business. This is a retreat to connect with like-minded humans who also care about the planet, who want to live zero-waste, who want to start businesses for good. This is a retreat to connect with community and form friendships with good hearted people. This is a retreat to let go of all of the stress and dive into the ocean and swim with incredible ocean creatures. To practice yoga and cleanse the body of toxins and mind of toxic stories and heart of toxic relationships. To meditate and cultivate the strength and love to open our arms to the future, to tune into our intuition and step up to our higher purpose. This is called a mermaid retreat but really it is future training, it is training us to be resourceful, resilient, heart-based. Training us to love more, trust ourselves more, connect with nature and spirit, so that we are not lost when the natural disasters increase, but instead empowered to lead and support and heal and create. <3

This time of year in Byron Bay we see manta rays, leopard sharks, turtles, lots of fish, and likely other mer-folk! ;)

Friday 3 Jan - Fly in to Gold Coast or Ballina Airport (complimentary pick up between 3-5pm, otherwise coordinate a shuttle or your own lift to our Byron Bay hinterland accomodation), Overview of Retreat, Yin Yoga
Saturday 4 Jan - Vinyasa Yoga + Breath work + Meditation; Introduction to Plastic Free Living; DIY Plastic-Free Bath & Beauty Products for our Week together; Introduction to Environmental Activism
Sunday 5 Jan - Vinyasa Yoga + Breath work + Meditation; Free Dive Training at Swimming Pool and then at freshwater Swimming Hole
Monday 6 Jan - Sleep in; Plastic-Free Q&A and Discussion; Vinyasa Yoga + Meditation; Foraging Workshop; Environmental Campaign Strategy Session
Tuesday 7 Jan - Yoga + Breath work; Local Farmer’s Market; Free Dive or snorkel Julian Rocks Marine Park; Eat yummy plastic-free vegan food
Wednesday 8 Jan - Vinyasa Yoga + Manifestation Meditation; LOVE & Boundaries Workshop; Regenerative Business Building Workshop; Free Time
Thursday 9 Jan - Vinyasa Yoga + Soul Purpose Meditation; Waterfall hike; Plastic-Free Workshop & Environmental Activism Campaign Workshop; Dinner OUT in Byron
Friday 10 Jan - Vinyasa Yoga + Step into Power Meditation + Closing Ceremony; Community Building Exercise; Farewells & Trips to Airport (either Gold Coast or Ballina, we will transport you around 1 pm, so please factor in time change and book flights after 4 pm to be safe)

Fully vegan menu on this retreat.
Bringing your own mask, fins, and wetsuit is recommended to ensure your comfort. These can be rented locally and a few pairs will be available to borrow, but best to have your own to ensure proper fit.
We will be staying in the hinterland of Byron Bay in a beautiful share house. Most will have a single bed, some will share a queen or king bed. If you require a private room, this can be arranged at a fee. Just email hello@iquitplastics.com to discuss. :)
Mermaid has the right to refuse anyone from attending the retreat. A short interview process is conducted after payment and registration to ensure alignment.
