BRITISH SIGN LANGUAGE TOURS AT FRAMELESS
As an accessible, multisensory, immersive art experience, Frameless offers British Sign Language tours that are suitable for visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing. At certain times we offer enhanced support, with a dedicated British Sign Language guide to lead groups through Frameless. Our guide conveys the mood and tone of the music in the galleries. You can choose from sessions that take place during general admissions, or as part of our more relaxed, Chilled Sessions where we have reduced public capacity.
Frameless use Sign Live tablets and staff are equip with scribble pads, Makaton cards and other access resources to support with communication.
Tour tickets must be booked in advance and participants are eligible for a complimentary, accompanying carer’s ticket, which must be booked at the same time. Our dedicated access team will also be on hand to support and guide visitors through the galleries, if required.
Dates for forthcoming 2023 BSL experiences are available below and we will be publishing more date throughout the year.
Saturday 7th October
'Chilled' admission morning at 10.00am: Please be aware that during Chilled BSL tours the volume in the galleries is lowered as these tours are designed specifically for hard of hearing and deaf and neurodivergent visitors. If you would prefer to experience the tour when the volume is louder, please book onto the 1pm tour.
'Regular' admission: afternoon at 1.00pm
SEND visitors are eligible for a complimentary, accompanying carer’s ticket, which must be booked at the same time. Carers may be asked for valid ID upon entry.
Group discounts are now available, as well as family tickets for groups of four, please note that no more than 2 adults can attend as part of a family group.
