Workshop Description ::
To those of you who have ever felt lost. For those who have felt abandoned by themselves or their lives for far too long. For those who have had such a great big broken heart they had to go climb a mountain top solo simply to shake themselves out of their heartbreak.
The mountain top moments are sometimes needed. I’ve had one myself: I was dropped off on a mountaintop to heal myself after a devastating abandonment was activated and I did not know where to turn. And I’m sure I will have one again. When life gets really hard, and we don’t know where to turn, sometimes shaking ourselves out of our slumber can feel like the only option and the mountain tops can be where that happens. AND, I’m also curious why we so often lean on the idea of letting everything go in order to call in all the healing we’re looking for? Do we really need to blow up our lives, get dropped off on the mountain top, end our long term relationships, must we let go in order to expand? I’m not convinced.
I can honor and recognize that oftentimes, maybe even more often than not, letting go is a powerful way to call in change. It’s a way to shift our energy, to listen to an inner voice. Letting go is a powerful way to create the shift we are looking for even when we don’t know what it is we are looking for. Letting go is an important lesson to learn. But we do not have to abandon love in order to come home to ourselves?
If letting go of love is the way home to yourself, then your answer is yes. Let go and fly beautiful human. But if you’re letting go because you can’t find your way home and you’re hoping the letting go is the answer, or if you’re letting go of love because you’re afraid love will hurt you, if you’re letting go because you can’t find yourself, it’s time to look in the mirror because friend, this is YOURS to hold.
Finding yourself is your own finding to be done, it doesn’t necessarily involve other people. Learning to trust love again is yours to unpack, that doesn’t involve ensuring the other person doesn’t hurt you, that involves your own re-wiring.
This is your work.
Healing is layered, love is layered, the journey home to yourself is layered. We know that and we also know that no one should be shrinking themselves to keep the peace. No one should be staying and by nature leaving themselves. You deserve everything you desire in life. You deserve your big beautiful life. I’m simply asking you to self-reflect and be sure that you are choosing the most loving path for yourself that is not driven by your wounds.
This workshop is for the self-reflectors. It’s for everyone whose ever questioned blowing up their lives so they can come home to themselves. For everyone whose ever done it. For those who are ready to take responsibility for their own emotions, their own wounds, their own path in life. This is for every one of us that has the desire to come home to yourself, to remember who you are, what your heart is saying. Love will sometimes look like leaving and loving each other from a distance. Love will sometimes look like staying. Together in this beach breathwork workshop we will expand into ourselves, remember who we are, remember who we are becoming, leave room for the unknown and choose ourselves. We will breathe, feel, intuit and heal ourselves and each other.
What to bring:
- a notebook to write in and a pen
- yourself, and your open mind
- a yoga mat if you have one (this helps with sand if it’s wet from morning dew or winter storms)
- TWO blankets (one to lay on and one for over you)
- Dress comfortably (there is minimal shade at the beach so dress accordingly)
- a mask, and a commitment to wear masks (masks generally come off as everyone sits in circle and being outside, depending on comfort of the group and keeping some space between people)
Notes ::
7th street Manhattan Beach, walk down to the sand, there will be a little hut on the sand to your right, (the public restrooms) and you will find us there.
parking can be tricky down at the beach, the meters are old and only take coins, so plan accordingly, or you can park a little higher in residential streets. My tip is always 1st street and Highland or Manhattan Ave, and walking over.
