As part of the City of Toronto’s DriveInTO program the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival is proud to present a night of FREE programming at CityView Drive-In. BE WATER In 1971, after being rejected by Hollywood, Bruce Lee returned to his parents’ homeland of Hong Kong to complete four iconic films. Charting his struggles between two worlds, this portrait explores questions of identity and representation through the use of rare archival, interviews with loved ones and Bruce’s own writings. **Though this is a FREE event, tickets are required for entry and must be reserved in advance** Gates open - 7:00pm Intro Remarks 8:45pm - film to follow. The Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival (Reel Asian) is Canada’s longest-running showcase of contemporary Asian and Asian diasporic cinema — the only one of its kind in Toronto and the largest in Canada. Works include feature lengths, short films, and multi-disciplinary media arts presentations by East, Southeast, and South Asian artists in Canada, the U.S., Asia and all over the world. In addition to its annual festival in November, Reel Asian is a charitable non-profit organization that fuels Asian cinema and its creatives in Canada through workshops, networking opportunities, discussion panels, school tours, and co-presentations year-round. Bring masks for every occupant in your vehicle. Food and beverages can be purchased on site, and will be delivered to your parking space. Once you are in your parking space, you may not exit your vehicle at any time except to visit the washrooms. Washrooms are located across the street inside Rebel Nightclub. Masks are mandatory should you need to use the washrooms. Tickets are non-transferable. The ticket purchaser must be present in the vehicle on arrival. ID of ticket purchaser will be verified on entry. Venue management reserves the right to restrict entry, and relocate vehicles. Tickets are available on a first come first served basis and admission is subject to capacity.
