Participants in this one-day advanced level course will enhance their capacity to manage rescue situations on their challenge course, aerial park or zip line. This workshop will explore principles and techniques for managing a wide range of rescue problems. This workshop will introduce participants to new technology and approaches for executing rescues with fewer personnel. Participants will learn criteria for evaluating the effectiveness and risk profile of their rescue systems. A variety of techniques will be practiced. Course content will be covered through a combination of classroom presentations, hands-on practice, and rescue simulations. This workshop is intended for previously certified Level 2 Practitioners and is being offered immediately after our Level 2 Refresh and Recertification.

Course Objectives
By the end of this course, instructor candidates will:
Introduce key Principles for rescue.
Explore components of "safe" systems
Introduce a variety of rescue strategies and techniques including team based and solo strategies
Provide a framework for a whiteboard analysis of a variety of techniques
Course Prerequisites
18 years of age
Current certification as a Level 2 Challenge Course Practitioner
Willingness and ability to perform all tasks related to ropes course operation including spotting, belaying, climbing on belay, climbing on instructor access to perform set-up/ take-down, and performing in-air rescue tasks
