Michael Bancroft is the co-host of The Feed with Amber Mac and Michael B on SiriusXM, the top trending tech podcast and radio show. He is the co-host and executive producer of the globally distributed television show Beyond Innovation that uncovers the world's new and emerging technologies changing the way we live and do business. Michael was also an executive producer for Bloomberg TV, overseeing all programming in Canada. He has worked for leading broadcast networks including CBS, CNBC, ABC, BNN and Network Ten. Genevieve Roch-Decte is the founder & CEO of Grit Capital a capital market advisory firm started in 2016. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2016, Genevieve was a Portfolio Manager and Analyst for LDIC Inc., a $600M asset management company based in Toronto. For 7 years she ran the Redwood Global Small Cap Fund – which was the best performing small cap fund in Canada in 2009, 2010 and 2014 as ranked by Globe Funds. Genevieve attended the Harvard Business School Executive Education for Private Equity & Venture Capital in 2016. She has an honors bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Economics from McMaster University. Tanya Sardana is a marketer, entrepreneur and communications specialist with work experience at Globalive Capital, L'Oreal Canada, Bell Media, Starbucks, Massimo Dutti, Ensuite Media, all the way to her own 19,000+ engaged followers on her personal Instagram. She led public and investor relations for Globalive Capital during its public listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange in June 2018. She was a ‘Digital Specialist’ at L’Oreal Canada, hired straight out of McGill University to work on e-commerce and digital marketing strategies for 4 global brands, as well as spearhead the launch of a new app targeted to improve sales communication with beauty retailers including Sephora. She has also previously launched two technology startups in the machine intelligence and retail e-commerce domains whilst a student and been recognized by global VC's. She has been an associate for world-renowned Professor Henry Mintzberg, and produced Professor Karl Moore's 'The CEO Series' for Bell Media, as well as graduated magna cum laude in 2016. Tanya is currently building her own social media analytics startup.
Jasmin Ganie-Hobbs is Director Tech Finance at the Business Development Bank of Canada. She works extensively with emerging technology, innovation, knowledge based companies, and women entrepreneurs. Jasmin provides both financial and consulting solutions to entrepreneurs. She serves as a champion for both the technology industry and women entrepreneurs. As such, Jasmin is a frequent industry guest speaker. Jasmin is well known in the market, and has successfully worked with many of the best and brightest companies. Much of her success lies in her astute ability to determine the credibility of a business management team, and the potential for commercialization and success. Alexia Hefti is a Swiss-Canadian blockchain & crypto lawyer in Deloitte Canada's blockchain and crypto tax advisory practice assisting blockchain companies structure their crypto operations and ICOs. Alexia also collaborates with civil society and government bodies to create pro-blockchain regulatory in emerging markets, and advises the Nordic Token Alliance on global regulation. Alexia volunteers on a projects bringing coding opportunities to young women in emerging markets as a means of helping them create sustainable economic livelihoods. Alexia loves sharks.
Kim Parnell is the co-founder of Blank - a radical new way to build apps without code. Blank uses AI technology to automatically generate beautiful, fully functioning apps in minutes - from a description of what the app will do. Incorporating data and/or functionality from one app into another is done with a few clicks, effectively removing the need to create APIs. Kim shares her startup journey through writing and her various social media channels. Her passion for Blank comes from her frustration in finding a technical partner during the early phases of her first software startup. Alongside the team at Blank, she’s working to create tools that enable tenacious people to take control of their future. Great ideas shouldn’t die on a whiteboard.
Karla Vilhelem is the PR & Events Manager at Shyft Network. She is actively involved in the space, advocating for blockchain education in hackathons and conferences. Karla has worked with more then 6 Blockchain startups such as Propy, Refereum and Unibright where she managed the marketing startegy for Token Generation Events. She is part also of the CryptoChicks Organization, a community that supports women in blockchain.
Elena Yunusov's career spans technology, public sector, and journalism. Prior to joining Shyft as SVP, Integrated Marketing and Brand, Elena has worked with various blockchain clients through her marketing agency Communicable Inc., as well as large organizations and tech startups, including City of Toronto, Vox Pop Labs, Pressly, Ritual, Symbility Intersect, MaRS, Design Exchange, Toronto Maker Festival, and others. As a journalist, Elena also served as managing editor for Yonge Street Media, contributing reporter with NewCo Shift, and as BetaKit senior editor, covering innovation, technology, startup and entrepreneurship, and the emerging crypto community since before Vitalik Buterin officially launched Ethereum in 2014.
Richa Vajpeyi is Marketing Director at Aion, a leading blockchain project that is working towards solving the issues of interoperability and scalability for blockchains. She led the project through its early stages of 20 employees, to its ICO and established it as a foundation now operating in 3 different countries. She currently also serves as a senior advisor to Vault, a stablecoin. Prior to her current role in the blockchain industry, Richa lead marketing and business development projects in several industries that included, financial services, consumer research and consulting. She has managed marketing in small startups as well as Fortune 500 companies such as KPMG and Eli Lilly. She has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and also serves as a director on the Toronto ArtScene, Business for the Arts committee.
Jennifer Brown leads partnerships at Elevate, Canada's largest tech and innovation festival, collaborating with partners such as Aurora Cannabis and the Blockchain Technology Council of Canada. Before joining Elevate, Jennifer headed global business development for bioLytical Laboratories, a Vancouver-based biotechnology company, where she focused on global growth, launching products in the U.S., Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
Gretchen Wilson is a Senior Marketing Manager at BDO Canada. She is an expert with 10+ years in project management, strategic industry planning, and event management. She understands the link between business strategy and marketing. Gretchen is exploring how P2P marketing and the blockchain industry will change the way we will market in the future.
Graham Majoribanks is BDO’s Assurance Leader for the Greater Toronto Area. Nick Pateras is Vice President of Growth & International Strategy at Lift & Co., Canada's leading cannabis media and technology platform. Prior to joining Lift & Co., Nick spent several years in the pharmaceutical sector with Johnson & Johnson Inc, leading business in the OTC and Health & Beauty categories. Nick is a regular speaker at cannabis conferences across North America and Europe and teaches the Cannabis Business Fundamentals course at George Brown College. He holds two degrees, in Business and Philosophy, from Queen's University, Canada.
Suzanne Ennis is a cryptocurrency & blockchain investor, and advocate, with a unique blend of experience in both legacy finance and cryptocurrencies. On the legacy finance front, Suzanne, as a designated Chartered Investment Manager, worked with some of the largest Asset Managers in the world, mainly in business development both retail and institutional. Niloo Entezari is a securities lawyer at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Her practice focuses on public capital markets transactions, including debt and equity financings and mergers and acquisitions. She also advises clients on securities regulatory matters, including with regard to cryptocurrency offerings in Canada. Niloo has a keen interest in the application of current securities regulations to the world of cryptocurrency and the development of such regulations moving forward.

Marie Gonneville has navigated the Spirit Industry for the last 14 years, beginning her career as Brand Ambassador for Grand Marnier in Quebec. Two years later, she took on a new challenge offered to her in Calgary, AB where she was recruited to work in the marketing team at Penny Lane Entertainment. Marketing and Operations management at Penny Lane was under her direction. Lauren Ledwell is currently Director at RBC Ventures. In her role, she has been responsible for owning the development of several new ventures, helping spearhead product innovation 'beyond banking'. Prior to her role in Ventures, Lauren held roles in Digital and Strategy. Outside of her work at RBC, Lauren has experience founding her own venture, graduating from CDL Toronto, and working in the CPG industry at Maple Leaf Foods (a variety of roles in Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance functions). She's an Alum of Rotman's MBA program and is more recently spending spare time learning about angel investing. My name is Eleanor Ma, and I am the product of two worlds, with degrees in both business marketing and design. Amidst these two worlds, I fell in love with designing compelling user experiences—those magical moments that live between human behaviour and design. It’s thanks to her and the Operations team that Connected was announced as the Top 100 Small and Medium Employers in Canada, two years running.
Kelly Foss is an energetic brand management professional and the co-founder of IMPACTx Toronto, a monthly mindset-focused event series supported by Shopify Toronto. Kelly’s goal with each event is to connect motivated professionals and bring on speakers who inspire a local culture with a growth mindset. Kelly’s professional background includes working for Air Canada where she built and ran sponsorship partnerships and video content to grow brand awareness. Oksana Andreiuk (@CanadianBiohacker) is on a mission to bring biohacking and anti-aging science to the mainstream in Canada and to help individuals optimize their mental and physical performance, with the ultimate vision of extending healthspan and lifespan. Tracy Tong delivers breaking news and live updates on Toronto’s top stories of the day as a general assignment reporter for CTV News Toronto, Canada’s most-watched local newscast team. Throughout her career, Tong has covered a variety of breaking and general assignment news in the Greater Toronto Area, as well as in Southern and Northern Ontario. She has reported on numerous municipal, provincial and federal elections, high-profile crime stories including the Tim Bosma murder, and local response to international events such as the June 2016 Orlando Shooting and the Paris Attacks. She also covered Rio 2016 events from CTV's national Olympic Desk. Before working at CTV News Toronto, Tong was an on-air reporter with CP24, CityNews Toronto, CTV News Kitchener, CTV Northern Ontario, and Rogers TV. Tong began her career in the Global Toronto newsroom after graduating from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Journalism degree.
