Arthur Falls, DFINITY
DFINITY, the blockchain-based computer network backed by Polychain Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, will provide secure, decentralized cloud services. This means that there is now an approach to addressing the security issues that plague the internet and are forecast to lead to trillions of dollars in annual losses by 2020. This infrastructure will be simultaneously available to all people, worldwide. As an additional benefit, a much smaller local support team will be needed for an organisation to use DFINITY over traditional systems, leading to significant infrastructure cost reductions. The technologies
that power DFINITY are Threshold Relay randomness generation and Probabilistic
Slot Consensus, the WebAssembly Virtual machine (co-developed by Google, Apple, Microsoft, and the Mozilla Foundation), and the Blockchain Nervous System in platform governance. Arthur is a leading blockchain industry
observer and producer of three popular blockchain centric podcasts: Beyond Bitcoin (2014), The Ether Review, and The Third Web (2017 - present). Prior to joining DFINITY, he worked at ConsenSys where he implemented the initial content marketing strategy.
