December is for Big Hugs, our Imperial Drinking Stout. Year in and year out we tweak this beer according to our liking and work with the Dark Matter coffee wizards on their most up to date extraction method. We are now 11 years in on this beer. At Half Acre Beer Company, we try to brew for all occasions ~ laidback pale ales, hop drenched DIPAS, stiff-cool pilsners and beefcake barrel-aged imperial stouts. Big Hugs is a category all of its own. Deeper than your average stout at 10% ABV and hit with high caliber coffee for an animated punch; the body remains balanced at a consumable level and you don’t have to share it unless you want to. The Whole Enchilada, the presale option for Big Hugs and its variants, is back... with a taco special. On Wednesday, November 27th at 10am we will make a set amount of Big Hugs available online. For $125.94 before taxes and fees The Whole Enchilada includes: 2 x 4 packs of Big Hugs Imperial Coffee Stout 2 x 4 packs of Vanilla Big Hugs Imperial Coffee Stout 1 x 2 pack of Bourbon Barrel Aged Big Hugs Imperial Coffee Stout 1 x 2 pack of Vanilla Barrel Aged Big Hugs Imperial Coffee Stout You may also or instead choose to purchase The Taco Dinner for $61.97 before taxes and fees. The Taco Dinner includes: 1 x 4 pack Big Hugs Imperial Coffee Stout 1 x 4 pack Vanilla Big Hugs Imperial Coffee Stout 1 x 2 pack Bourbon Barrel Aged Big Hugs Imperial Coffee Stout There is also a limited amount of glassware available a la carte. You will be invited to pick up your full allotment on release day (12/7) from our shop on Lincoln, between the hours of 11am-10pm. If you do not pick up your allotment on 12/7, you can get it from our shop on Lincoln during store hours through end of day December 14th. After that point we will sell any bundles that haven’t been picked up and donate the proceeds to charity. You will not be refunded if you do not pick up your bundles so please come by! This is for pre-sale only, if you want a coozie, a tee shirt, or anything not included in the pre-sale, you should come party with us at Balmoral on release day. While you can drink Big Hugs and its variants on draft, there will not be any additional packaged (to-go) Big Hugs (or variants, or merch) located at Lincoln on 12/7. PROXIES ARE NOT PERMITTED. By PROXIES, we mean you cannot pay and have someone else pick up for you. You must personally pick up and show a valid ID at time of pick up to verify age & identity. Big Hugs has always been a favorite of ours. Gathering together in December to drink caffeine-laced stout and talk about the edges on things is a part of closure for the year.
