Join us for our 7th annual Terroir Run. This 10km fun run takes place in beautiful Prince Edward County along country roads lined with vineyards, lavender fields and farm acreage.
On May 26th, the night before our run we host a Buffet BBQ at County Road Beer Co. Chef Neil Dowson will prepare a feast featuring locally grown and raised produce paired with either a pint from the brewery or a glass of sparkling from Hinterland Winery. $5 of every dinner purchase is donated to the Terry Fox Foundation. Runners can swing by to pick up their runners kits and stay for dinner or a pint.
We kick off early at 9am from the Old Third Vineyard passing 8 wineries and four water stations (yes - water, not wine). We finish off at Norman Hardie Winery where our runners and their cheering squads enjoy nutritious and delicious post-run snacks prepared by Slow Food The County, thirst quenching Pluck Teas Iced Tea and cold brewed coffee from Propeller Coffee. Once all of our runners have made it to Norm's we open the Wine, Beer & Cider Bar and start serving woodfired pizza's and fresh spring salads. There are a limited number of Post Run lunch registrations available for friends and family members who wish to join in the post run fun.
Runners are encouraged to participate in a costume for a chance to win a $200 gift certificate from Zest Kitchen Shop (in Picton) and runners up (pun intended) prizes of County wines, beer and cider. Annual proceeds from the run go to Slow Food The County and the Quinte Humane Society.
