Not all Outreach Programs have a financial component but almost every Outreach Program has a social services component.Social Services is a broad topic that can include informational call lines (1-800-numbers), resource directories/guides, and assisting those in need to help them find resources available to them in their communities.This session will have a presentation to start group discussion on how different states are using Social Services in their Outreach Programs.

For many, the Masonic Service Association is a mystery. What is it? How did it come about? And, most importantly, how can the Masonic Communities and Services Association utilize the scope and practices of MSA to better fulfill their mission?
These questions and their answers are the aim of the talk of Simon LaPlace, the eighth and newest Executive Secretary of MSA. He may have been more conversant about MCSA than he was about MSA when he took the position in October. But now he can speak knowledgably about both organizations and the possibilities of a symbiotic relationship between both.

The Sam Swope Care Center opened its doors in 2011.The new care center more than tripled the size of the previous nursing center and accommodates dedicated households for long-term care, memory and palliative care, dialysis, therapy services, short-stay respite and recovery care that branch off a lively Main Street.This session will provide an overview of the goals that led to the design of the Sam Swope Care Center, a review of recent Post-Occupancy Evaluation findings, a discussion of how the care center works for Masonic Homes of Kentucky and lessons learned.
