You’ll also learn comping, editing, mixing, how to apply EQ and effects, and about making final tweaks to perfect your mix. Your experience in this workshop capturing the subtle articulation of a world-class guitarist and the expressive flair of his passionate performance will help you draw out the best in the musicians you record in your studio.
This workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced participants who are already comfortable with navigating Pro Tools, miking, patching, and finessing tracks using plug-ins and outboard gear to enhance their studio skills.

When fingerstyle guitar virtuoso and songwriter Joe Robinson broke the scene in 2017, Guitar Player listed him Best New Talent as a “mind-blowing” acoustic fingerpicker and electric soloist. Since winning the Australian National Songwriting Competition at age 13 and Australia’s Got Talent at age 15, he continues garnering high praise and prestigious awards from the international music community, currently touring with Robin Ford and performing in over 2,000 shows around the world with a long list of celebrated music icons including Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, Kenny Rogers, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Robben Ford, Keb’ Mo’, Les Paul, the Wailers, Styx, John Jorgenson, Lee Roy Parnell, and friend, mentor, and fellow Aussie Tommy Emmanuel.
