From flora and fauna-inspired underwater eco-turbines to mussel-inspired soy adhesives and bird beak-looking trains to breathing buildings, the natural world has increasingly become a source for design innovation.
During the final month of Sanam Sanamian's Evolution DX brings together a panel of designers, creatives, academics and curators to discuss the impact of biomimicry in the current design-climate and in relation to pressing, present-day issues.
In Pecha Kucha- style , Cole Swanson, Jason Logan, Amanda White, and Nadia Pulez will be discussing with Evolution curator and featured artists; Sanam Samanian, Brent Cordner, Robert Oullette, and Mahtab Oskuee, how mimicking nature's models has weaved its' way into an industry known for rapid technological advancements.
