All proceeds directly support the care and treatment of street dogs in India:Please visit our website for more info about where your funds will go and to subscribe to our newsletter containing project updates and upcoming events: www.dogsoftheganges.comDogs of the Ganges Society came to be a couple of years ago when Vinyse and Derek travelled to India on vacation. They were simultaneously in love and heartbroken by the 150,000 dogs that live on the streets of Varanasi, and left knowing they had to do something to help them. Since that first trip, they've hired two staff members in India, who performs first aid for 100+ street dogs, and indirectly helps many more through a community training program. The program inspires kids (and adults) to have compassion for animals through presentations and outreach, and teaches and empowers locals to care for the dogs in their neighbourhood by providing workshops and first aid kits.
