About David
Limb Difference: Congenital (Amniotic Band Syndrome)
Type: Left Arm, Below Elbow
Sport: Lacrosse
David suffered through Amniotic Band Syndrome, which is a condition
that can completely cut off a limb when it becomes entangled with a
fibrous string-like amniotic band in the womb. In his case, the band
wrapped around his arm when it was no bigger than a pencil eraser.
David has continued to play sports most of his life finding his own
way to adapt despite his limb difference. In college, he founded the
Southeastern Lacrosse Club, was elected the team captain and played the
Attack position. He graduated from Southeastern in 2019 and has
continued to pursue a career in occupational health & safety.
In the near future, David hopes to coach lacrosse at a high school
or collegiate level and is also working to start a men’s lacrosse club
team in his area. He is dedicated to growing the game of lacrosse.

“Attending NubCamp as a Coach was the first time I have ever had the
opportunity to interact with other limb different athletes (coaches and
campers). It felt like an immediate bond for everyone at camp. I can’t
wait for next year!” - Coach David
