Description
The insurance and risk management industry is one of the last great frontiers in the financial industry. Governments, companies and citizens need and use insurance every day, all around the world. The disappearance of Malaysian flight 370, Somali pirates kidnapping ships, and Flo from Progressive Insurance are all examples of insurance stories. The big story is the need for new blood, eager educated and trained college graduates to enter the insurance workforce to keep the industry growing. If you are interested in a career with great potential and unlimited earning potential, you should plan to attend. On Thursday, April 23, we will have a Risk Management and Insurance luncheon in the Charcoal Room of the University Center from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. This is a great opportunity for students to interact with insurance professionals and faculties face to face, and also this is a great opportunity to share information about the insurance industry, career plan, and professional development. We will have discussion panels with Ernie Telford, alumni and founder of Amwins, and Mike Hubbel, Professor Emeritus from Olivet College, Sean Coykendall and Rob McIntyre (both alumni) from The Horton Group of Wisconsin, and insurance professionals from Vast Insurance and City Insurance, both of Marquette. You can bring your questions such as your future career plan in the insurance industry, your resume, internship opportunities, possible starting salaries etc. to the discussion. Free food will be served and we expect your participation. This event is FREE for students!
